Research Funding: Targeting your aims and objectives

Dr Taryn Bell, a Research Development Adviser in OD&PL, recently presented guidance on writing aims and objectives for a research proposal to the Worldwide Universities Network of 26 research universities.
The presentation was shared as part of a webinar series supporting early career researchers, which OD&PL have been involved in supporting the Worldwide Universities Network. Leeds is a member University and colleagues can attend these events and many others as part of our membership.

Taryn’s work in OD&PL is to support researchers career development, particularly those applying for fellowships and funding. In 2023/24, Taryn launched the Fellowship Accelerator programme, which supports postdocs who are interested in applying for a research fellowship. She previously worked at the University of York as their Fellowship Coordinator, supporting fellowship holders and applicants across the University with their professional and career development.
