Applications are open to be part of the Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice (PGCAP) at the University of Leeds, which starts in February 2022. The deadline for applications is Monday 22 November 2021.

Engaging in our PGCAP will help to enhance your practice, challenge your thinking, and connect you with your peers. It is also one of the routes we offer to gain Fellowship of the HEA (FHEA).

In the PGCAP you will explore different approaches to teaching and learning and reflect on and develop your own academic practice, as well as undertaking an impactful research project which will enhance your ongoing practice.

The PGCAP programme is available to University of Leeds staff who are involved in student education at Leeds. Each cohort is made up of a wide range of colleagues from early-career academics to those with greater experience of student education, and those in professional, leadership and research-focused roles who have significant involvement in Student Education.

The course is heavily grounded in participants’ current academic practice and is strongly work-based in its approach. The programme comprises three 20 M level credit modules and will be completed part-time over 18 months. There are no direct fees for undertaking the PGCAP programme, nor the FHEA accreditation.
