OD&PL have launched three new programmes for semester 1 as part of our leadership development provision. The programmes sit next to our wider offering of current development opportunities, which you can find out more about on our OD&PL training and events page.

Each of the programmes are outlined below, and each has been designed for colleagues at different stages of their leadership journey.

Discovering your Leadership Programme (Early Stages of Development)

Discovering your Leadership is designed for aspiring and new leaders. This programme will run over four communities throughout the academic year, and bookings for all communities are now available.

The programme covers the following topics over five sessions: difficult conversations and conflict management, building collaboration, influencing and communication, and transformational change.

Establishing your Leadership (Fine Tuning Your Approach)

Establishing your Leadership is designed for leaders who are at least 6 months into a leadership role and still feel in transition. Module 1 starts on Thursday 25 November 2021.

The programme is to help leaders make sense of their early experiences, build on their growing understanding of their leadership strengths and start to apply skills in team building, cross-university collaboration and leading through uncertainty.

Leading Transformational Change (Delivering Change)

Leading transformational change is designed for leaders who are at least 12 months in role and are responsible for leading a change initiative. Module 1 starts on Thursday 18 November 2021.

The workshops will help leaders make sense of their transformation challenges currently and ahead, take steps to connect with and influence others on that journey and learn how to successfully embed cultural change.
