University of Leeds Teaching Awards 2023 winners announced 

The winners of the 2023 University of Leeds Teaching Awards have been announced. 

In their third year, these prestigious accolades are a celebration of excellent practice in student education, as well as the work and innovation of colleagues to deliver high-quality teaching and learning at Leeds.

The panel of judges was incredibly impressed by the level of applications received and the impact demonstrated by colleagues. Both individual and collaborative innovation and contribution has been recognised in this year’s awards, with applications received from across the University.

Professor Jeff Grabill, Deputy Vice-Chancellor: Student Education, said: “I’m delighted to congratulate the winners of our 2023 University of Leeds Teaching Awards. These awards provide us with the opportunity to identify and recognise individual and collaborative excellence in student education.

“Our community of colleagues who teach and support learning are at the heart of our endeavour to provide transformative and research-based educational experiences. It has been fantastic to hear about the work and innovation of our winners and to see the extraordinary contributions made by staff across the institution. They truly help to create an inspiring, challenging and supportive environment for our students to achieve their ambitions.

“As in previous years, we received a great range of high-quality applications and I’d like to thank everyone involved. Being able to take the time to identify, recognise and reward our colleagues is an important and collegial way to build community, and I look forward to celebrating with everyone at the awards event in September.”
