Apply to our University-wide mentoring scheme

Featured Training and Events

The next round of matching for our University-wide mentoring scheme will take place in May 2021.

The scheme is open to all University of Leeds staff regardless of job type or grade. Applications to be a mentor or mentee can be made any time with matching taking place twice a year in May and November.

The mentoring experience is mutually beneficial and rewarding and allows colleagues to share knowledge and skills with others, supporting them to achieve their individual objectives. There are many different types of mentoring relationships, such as peer-to-peer, reciprocal and reverse, or group, but they all involve the exchange of knowledge in a confidential and supportive environment.

Mentors and mentees are provided with a range of resources to support them in the scheme and to get the most out of the experience.

Each mentoring pairing will agree on the frequency and time spent, but as a guide, we recommend typically 90 minutes per month should be considered for an effective experience.

Find out more and apply on our University-wide mentoring scheme webpage.
