Basics - Microsoft Office Suite Collections

These five collections are part of our Digital Essentials for Staff training. Learn the basics of the essential Microsoft applications with these bitesize videos on LinkedIn Learning.

The collections cover Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams using the Microsoft 2016 desktop version. You will also find a course to introduce you to the online versions of each of the packages which can be accessed by the Office 365 apps for staff.

Hosted on LinkedIn Learning, each level is broken down into short bitesize videos. They are self-paced making it accessible to undertake at a time that suits you. If you are completely new to the package it would be recommended to start at the beginner level. If you have a basic knowledge of the package, start with Intermediate.

Accessing LinkedIn Learning: To access the collections, you will need to log in into LinkedIn Learning. You can easily access your LinkedIn Learning account by clicking the link to the collection and using your normal University username and password. You can use this guide to activate your LinkedIn Learning account for the first time.
