About the Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship

If you aspire to work in a management role or to develop your career as a manager, the Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship (CMDA) could be your next step. Applications are open to join the next CMDA in February 2023, the deadline for applications is 5pm on Friday 25 November 2022.

This degree apprenticeship, delivered by the Lifelong Learning Centre, it intends to develop and strengthen the leadership and management skills of new and existing managers to become confident in their role by expanding their skills and knowledge of fundamental business concepts such as project management, business finance and marketing.

You will explore the functional, operational and strategic aspects of management across five themed pathways: consultancy, leadership, skills, innovation and decision-making.

The BSc (Hons) Business Management and Leadership, studied as part of the apprenticeship, is designed to complement your role, enabling you to apply your learning and make an impact and you could also achieve Chartered Manager (CMgr) status, the gold standard for the profession.

The next programme starts in February 2023 and takes 4 years part-time to complete the programme – fees for the course are paid by the University.

It is ideal for Managers, Senior Managers, Heads of Department, Operations Managers, Senior Administrators or anyone with significant management responsibilities – entry requirements are available on the course overview page.
